After the Yellow Vest Movement in 2018, it seems there is not an obvious leader occurred in the recent demonstration. However, the problem of the protests without leaders is the lack of organization. With the prevalence of the Internet, information can be transmitted more efficiently than in the past. How to make it easier for each demonstrator and protester to get started and defend themselves in a severe situation will be an issue for the social movement in the future.

以開源設計的架構，提供示威民眾以低成本現成物料和3D列印自行製作基礎防衛和醫療裝備，

以無版權開源的方式，提供於網路平台給世界各地的抗爭者使用。因此，裝備的設計會以使用現成材料的防衛性裝備為主，並針對傳令/

建築/ 急救/ 前線/ 一般群眾五種抗爭工作角色，讓群眾透過和平理性非暴力的方式爭取抗爭的成功。

為了搭配現成材料使用，開源零件會使用3D列印及印刷等簡易的加工程序，而零件的造型設計上，也以符合現成材料規格，以及最小化製造難度為原則，讓裝備能被更多的抗爭者製造及使用。

DETOPIA目前提供了五個款式的抗爭防衛裝備，未來也會根據抗爭型態的變化，推出其他因應不同情況的抗爭防衛裝備，建立一個抗爭開源資料庫，讓世界各地的抗爭者都有機會透過下載檔案製作裝備，抵禦過度執法的警力。

而除了抗爭防衛裝備外，DETOPIA同時也提供抗爭者手冊，以分級的概念，於不同時期提供抗爭者不同的抗爭知識，舉凡水炮車抵禦對策，非政府組織聯絡等等知識，都收錄於抗爭者手冊中，協助抗爭者做情勢的判斷與應對。
